Return transfers are booked through the resort when room reservations are made. Seats are guaranteed once full flight details are received at least seven days prior to stay.
Upon arrival or departure at Male International Airport, all guests have access to the Hilton Worldwide Lounge at the Trans Maldivian Air Terminal (if travelling by seaplane) or at the Domestic Airport Lounge (if travelling by domestic). Both lounges offer complimentary refreshments, including coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks.
Seaplane
The Trans Maldivian Air service operates only during the daytime and is scheduled according to the resort’s arrivals. Waiting time may be up to four hours and you may help yourself to refreshments at the Hilton Worldwide Lounge while waiting.
Guests arriving in Male on an international flight after 15:00pm will require overnight accommodation in Male and will be transferred the following day to the resort. Guests departing Male on an international flight earlier than 9:30hrs will need to be transferred the previous day in order to be at the international airport on time. From and to the resort, guests who wish to travel on the same day as their international flight may book domestic flight transfers.
The journey from Male International Airport to Waldorf Astoria Maldives takes up to 75 minutes depending on weather conditions. When combined with Hilton guests, 20-30 minutes will be added to the transfer duration.
Departure from the resort may occasionally occur as early as 7:00am even for guests departing Male on an international flight in the afternoon.
Domestic Flight and Speed Boat
The domestic flight from Male International Airport to Hanimadhoo is about 55 minutes. All efforts are made for transfers to the resort to take place within four hours of the arrival at Male.
From Hanimadhoo Airport, the speedboat transfer to the resort will take approximately 45 minutes. You may upgrade your journey and opt for the luxury boat transfer, which includes butler service and refreshments such as champagne, tropical drinks, sliced fresh fruits and canapés.
Upon departure, it is recommended to leave Waldorf Astoria Maldives at least four hours prior to your scheduled international flight in Male.
